New Year, New Nursery
After much interest in opening a Nursery here at Old Bank Academy for your little ones, we’ve decided to open our doors to 3-Year-Olds starting in January 2022.
In the new year, we will open our 3-year-old nursery provision on Wednesday 5th January. Places are available now with 15 Hours FREE and up to 30 Hours FREE with a childcare code. Contact us to find out more.
January 2023 Nursery Times
Morning Session 8.50am – 11.50am, Monday – Friday.
Due to popular demand, we are only offering mornings at the moment, if you would like an alternative time please let us know.
Our admission window is open three times a year (September, January and after Easter) from the term following their 3rd birthday. Feel free to give us a call or drop us an email to find out when your child can join us.

Our nursery and reception staff are always updating their knowledge about early child development so you can be assured your child will receive a great education as well as care. We also have a strong pastoral team that can help parents to support children both at school and at home.

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Early reading is a focus in our EYFS unit and nursery where children engage with stories, poems, rhymes and songs daily. We also give children a book to bring home every night for parents and children to read and share. Children will also take part in early phonics sessions which will follow the Little Wandle phonics scheme from 2021/22.
One of the best parts of our academy is the great amount of space we have outdoors. Children will have the opportunity to visit our outdoor learning woodland area, perform on our indoor & outdoor stage areas and have access to oracy opportunities to develop their speech and language.
As a school Where Every Pupil Grows, we introduced all children to our GROW values which include Growth, Respect, Opportunity and Wellbeing. These values will be threaded through our exciting curriculum and daily conversations.
